Udyam registration: no document upload is required
The official Udyam process is free, paperless and based on self-declaration. It normally does not need a photo, PDF pack or uploaded proof.
Current position: Use only udyamregistration.gov.in. The official guidance says registration is free and no documents or proofs are required to be uploaded.
What the official process asks for
Udyam uses Aadhaar-based verification and connected PAN or GST information as applicable to the business constitution. The applicant completes an online self-declaration.
- Correct Aadhaar holder for the constitution
- PAN and GSTIN where applicable
- Working mobile access for the official verification flow
What not to prepare
Do not create a paid document-upload pack for Udyam. The official portal says there is no document or proof upload requirement.
- No passport-photo upload
- No merged certificate PDF
- No payment to a private registration portal presented as the government service

Check the government domain before entering identity or tax information. Save the official acknowledgement and registration record produced by the portal.
